A Magnificent Tandem of CleanExpo СА 2009 and HOREX 2009

Kazakhstan is hosting yet another special event on the cleanliness industry – CleanExpo Central Asia – organised, as always, by Iteca. In 2009, CleanExpo Central Asia was held in Almaty on 23-25 April, simultaneously with HOREX, the biggest HoReCa exhibition in the Central Asian region
The exhibition space at CleanExpo CA 2009 was divided between several companies which presented famous European brands such as LAURASTAR, PRIMUS, STIROLUX, KANNEGIESSER, BÖWE, VEIT, IPSO, SEIBT, KAPP, CERTUSS, HARDO, MIELE, BÜFA, and SEITZ. For example, MIELE – with its MIELE brands – presented professional high-tech-class laundry equipment made in Germany. KOBLENZ & PARTNER GmbH is an exclusive representative of leading German and Belgian manufacturers of professional equipment for laundries and dry cleaners – as well as shoe repair equipment – in the former Soviet countries. KRAUZER COMPANY is an exclusive dealer of the Swiss plant LAURASTAR (high-quality flat ironing systems for home and small businesses), and the official authorised dealer of PRIMUS (Belgium-Czech Republic, laundry equipment), STIROLUX (Italy, professional flat ironing equipment).

Such specialised exhibitions, as a rule, feature an interesting agenda of workshops and master classes held during the events. CleanExpo CA 2009 included workshops on Surface Cleaning with Environment-Friendly KIEHL Detergents and Effective Use of Modern Spotproof Coatings. The last exhibition day included the traditional competition, The Best Dry Cleaner 2009. Six Almaty dry cleaners competed in the contest. The jury included experts and managers of the Central Asian Cleaning Association, who organised the competition.

“In 2007, our two events – HOREX and CleanExpo CA – were held on the same days, and yielded positive results. According to a marketing survey, most of the visitors to our exhibition are owners and managers of hotels and restaurants. Therefore, simultaneous exhibitions on hospitality and cleanliness are only logical and effective. I think that specialists of the hotel and restaurant sectors and those from the cleanliness industry were able to address a lot of issues related to their business,” says Anastasia Balysheva, CleanExpo CA Project Manager.

CleanExpo Central Asia 2009 is especially important during the establishment and development of the service market, as well as small and medium business on the whole. A market-based economy demands a deeper development of cooperation and economic links, and this is enhanced significantly by specialised exhibitions.

This project is unique for Kazakhstan as it covers major development areas of the cleaning industry and will present the world manufacturers of professional cleaning machinery, equipment for industrial cleaning, hygiene items, equipment, chemicals and technologies for dry cleaners and laundries.
